CINCINNATI, OH (March 18, 2014) – Michelman will be showcasing many of its top brands of coatings for corrugated packaging applications in Booth 1F44 at the SinoCorrugated South show, April 10-12, 2014, in Guangdong Dongguan, China. They will be exhibiting with their respected distributor Kelly Chemical Corporation.
Michelman’s water-based solutions are recyclable and repulpable and produce a variety of desired attributes on corrugated packaging.
Michem® Coat is selected primarily for its resistance to oil and grease, while offering a number of other benefits including release and both coldset and hot melt gluability.
Coating X300™ is chosen for its ability to produce both water resistance and release. It is also non-abrasive and hot melt gluable.
VaporCoat® locks out water, and reduces the transmission of water vapor (MVTR). It can be used for moisture retention on the interior surface, or on the exterior to prevent moisture penetration into the container. It is also used to reduce oil migration.
Nomar® is commonly used on the inside of corrugated packaging and shipping containers to protect packaged goods from abrasion caused by the packaging itself.
RustBan® is a vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) and is applied directly on the inside of corrugated packaging, eliminating the need to place corrosible metal parts into secondary VCI-treated bags or wrappings.
SofTak® is an easy-to-apply coating that increases the angle of skid of paper to 30-45 degrees. It is often used on tier sheets between layers of palletized loads, preventing slippage and shifting.
MaxWhite™, Hydrowhite™ and ColorCoat™ are used to produce white or colors and enhance the appearance of corrugated packaging.
