CINCINNATI, OH (February 2, 2012) – TAPPI recently announced that Mr. Steven J. Shifman, President and CEO of Michelman, Inc., has been elected to serve on the 2012–2014 TAPPI Board of Directors. Mr. Shifman will begin his three-year term in March 2012. As a TAPPI Board member, Shifman’s duties will include determining policies and providing guidance on the overall affairs of the association.
Since joining Michelman in 1992, Mr. Shifman has held multiple corporate positions in Sales Management, Business Unit Management, Chief Financial Officer, and since 2003 has been President and CEO. He has an active community portfolio serving, or having served, on the boards of various civic, philanthropic and arts organizations, including the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and the Mayerson Jewish Community Center where he is currently the Board President.
