General Summary

Michelman is searching for an Specialist Accounts Receivable to join its Shared Services Center at Mumbai location. You will have the primary responsibility of ensuring customers are invoiced for product sales timely and accurately and applying the cash against customer accounts when they remit payment.  Associates working as a part of the Shared Services team will help to support our global operations in the US, Luxembourg, Belgium, Singapore, China, and India.

Primary Responsibilities

• Sales Invoicing
  • Oversees automated invoicing process and handles exceptions
  • Maintains proper documentation and approval of all credit memos prior to recording in the system
  • Ensures daily and month-end transactions are recorded completely, accurately and timely
• Cash Receipts / Credit Card Payment Processing
  • Responsible for recording cash receipts from the lockbox (where applicable), ACH payments, wire payments, credit card payments, etc.
  • Processes customer credit card transactions
  • Adheres to the corporate credit card security policy by ensuring customer credit card data is stored in accordance with the company’s policies (where applicable)
• Collections
  • Directs payment inquiries for overdue accounts to appropriate customer payables team or to internal sales/customer service team, as appropriate
  • Maintain active and regular communication with the Accounting Manager and Regional Controller when issues are noted on specific customers and those issues may have an impact on other functions
  • Documents all relevant notes and correspondence related to customers for future reference within the CRM.
• Other
  • Maintains and adheres to processes and controls that are consistent with the overall goals of the organization to maintain complete and accurate master data, including ensuring Michelman processes customer master data changes accurately and completely, and collects appropriate sales tax exemptions (where applicable)
  • Maintain proper filing of back-up documentation for daily transactions as per regional requirements. Control contents in storage area and update documentation.

Education and Experience

• Bachelors in Accounting or Commerce
• 2+ Years of experience

Salary range (Fixed pay): 

Salary Range ₹222,708.55 to ₹334,062.83 INR (plus provident fund, gratuity and variable). 

Work Hours

Michelman’s standard work hours for this role is Monday – Friday from 9:30am – 6pm.
